New Chapters is a registered charity that aims to deliver a total abstinence-based programme and recovery centre

Our values

We are a registered charity that delivers a total abstinence-based programme, including self-help, peer support meetings and workshops. In addition, we will provide safe and effective counselling, process groups, education around addiction, 1:1 key working sessions and therapeutic activities within an interactive, social environment.

We will encourage & support each individual to explore who they are and what they would like from life and to discover their abilities & qualities to achieve these goals.

We will be an honest and fair employer who invests in their staff.

Stability

We acknowledge the chaotic, unstable lifestyle associated with addiction. As such, we will provide a stable, safe, welcoming environment for our clients to aid recovery.

We recognise the importance of being a consistent figure for our clients, enabling them to build trusting relationships.

We are committed to supporting our clients on their path to recovery.

Honesty

Honesty plays a crucial role in recovery. We will foster an attitude of complete openness and honesty to challenge the denial associated with addiction.

As an organisation, we will deliver our purpose with integrity and transparency.

Acceptance

Acceptance of self is crucial to maintaining recovery and reintegrating into society upon completion of treatment.

Through a range of therapeutic sessions, we will provide individuals with a safe environment to explore the true nature of who they are.

Staff will be non-judgmental and treat all residents with dignity and respect, regardless of their background.

Effective

We will use evidence-based approaches to create and deliver our programmes.

We will regularly evaluate our work and measure success on our outcomes, not our organisation's size.

Empathy & Compassion

We recognise that a life of addiction creates selfish individuals who lack consideration for others. We will encourage clients to explore and share their feelings to give them the ability to understand the feelings of others.

Reflection

We will foster a reflective approach to recovery. Our clients will be encouraged to reflect on their behaviours and thinking as part of their journey.

We will encourage our staff to be reflective, using our experiences to improve our service.
